The Rush Firemen's Ladies Auxiliary is looking for new members.  Male & Female, retired firefighters, explorers over 18 years of age can join. RUSH FIREMEN’S LADIES AUXILIARY WILKINS SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

 The Rush Firemen’s Ladies Auxiliary Wilkins Scholarship Award was created in memory of Grace “Betty” Wilkins for her contributions to the Rush community through her generous volunteer efforts.  This award will be given to up to 3 residents of the town of Rush, depending on the number of qualified candidates who apply.  A minimum of $1,000 to a maximum of $3,000 will be awarded, depending on the number of individuals selected. 

Guidelines for applying for this scholarship are as follows: 

     •        Applicant must be a resident of the Town of Rush. 

     •        Applicant must provide evidence of satisfactory grades by including an official                              transcript. 

     •        Applicant must have contributed to the community through religious affiliated

              activities, scouting, volunteer work, etc.  Emphasis will be placed on the amount               and diversity of public service. 

     •           Applicant must be planning to attend an accredited college or technical school  at which he/she will earn a degree.         

 The final selection of the recipient will be made by the Scholarship Selection Committee.  A “Certificate” will be presented to the recipient of the Rush Firemen’s Ladies Auxiliary Wilkins Scholarship Award at the Senior Awards Ceremony at the appropriate school.  The check will be sent to the winner after the Scholarship Selection Committee receives verification that he/she is enrolled in a degree program.
